Every day we strive to serve you authentic BBQ made from the freshest, most delectable ingredients, and serve it to you in a patriotic dining room filled with tributes to those who’ve made Our Country great, given to us by the people who earned them. Stop by at lunchtime, and you might catch us during our daily salute to the Stars and Stripes.

We don’t do any of this because we have to. It’s because we want to.

At MISSION BBQ, we are Proudly Serving Those Who Serve. Come help us complete Our Mission.

After retiring from the military in 1996, Allen founded a successful payment processing company in Northern Virginia, which he owned for over 20 years. With his military background, Allen felt it was important to start a business that would not only honor those who served this country, but to ensure that those who made the ultimate sacrifice would never be forgotten. In 2012, he started making Honor Wine out of California and began brewing Honor Beer in 2014, using a contract brewery in Pennsylvania. Although there was no official brewery or tasting room at the time, Allen and his team were committed to their mission of making great beer and keeping the fallen soldiers’ memories alive. Through their support of various charities and 501(c)(3)’s, throughout the country, Honor Brewing Company began connecting with Gold Star Families; the immediate family members of those who lost their lives during active military duty. These Gold Star Families and Honor Brewing Company have built bonds that will last a lifetime, and the Honor team is committed to making sure that their loved ones’ names, faces, and stories will always be remembered.

Guest Speakers!

Dr. Gordon Sumner

Gordon Sumner, PhD, is the President & CEO, Veterans Moving Forward. VMF is a 501c3 nonprofit that provides trained service and emotional support dogs to Veterans at no cost to the Veteran or their families nationwide. He leads the organization’s strategies, plans, and objectives to continue VMF’s growth and move toward the vision of being the premier, national, not-for-profit organization for improving the lives of Veterans by providing highly skilled assistance/service or companion dogs.

Sgt. Robert Bauer (RET-OPS) MA, JD

Robert Bauer retired from his childhood dream of becoming a law enforcement officer in 2014. He was honored to be asked to become a College Professor teaching the next generation of those who wanted to serve in the Criminal Justice system. While standing before his class one day, he envisioned what this class would look like in twenty to thirty years. His vision was frightening as he saw the effects that trauma had on his students. Shortly thereafter, he founded WarriorsHeartUSA.org and Power2Change Academy. These are faith-based 501 (c) (3) organizations serving the National Capital Region.
